In 2023, Tiara faced a life-changing event when she suffered a stroke. Despite the odds, she made a full recovery with no deficits. This experience ignited her passion for advocating women’s heart health, leading her to celebrate Heart Health Month in February by educating and advocating for women’s heart disease.
One of the driving forces behind Tiara’s weight loss journey was her desire to reduce risk factors for heart disease and embrace a healthier lifestyle. She openly shares the challenges she faced in losing weight, emphasizing that she didn’t resort to drastic changes or restrictive diets. Instead, Tiara made small, sustainable changes like taking walks during her lunch breaks. As a busy mother with two teenage daughters involved in sports, she understands the struggle many mothers face in finding time to exercise.

I cannot thank Betty enough for her care and support with my weight loss. In 26 weeks I have lost just over 50 pounds representing 23% of my original body weight! To boost, because of the habits Betty encourages (exercise and a healthy diet favoring protein), the weight loss has been mostly fat. In other words, my body composition is shifting – I am becoming lean and healthy.
